Newaygo Fire Dept. serves the City of Newaygo, Brooks and Garfield Twps.
in the Newaygo County area. Newaygo is 40 miles north of Grand Rapids
and 200 miles northwest of Detroit. The population of our city is about 2000
people. We have four trucks in our station: two class A pumpers, a 1600
gallon tanker and a grass fire/water source truck. We can also do rescue/extrication
work with our Amkus rescue tools. Being a small city fire dept. we are
a close knit group. disagreements occur, but when the crap hits the fan, we all
pull together to get the job done. The following people are on the unit:
